Esmat is an experienced solicitor who advises a wide range of employees and employers, providing sage advice and solutions to complex issues. Clients appreciate the way Esmat understands their needs and ensures the advice she provides focuses on achieving their objectives.

Esmat supports employees through disciplinary and grievance procedures, guiding them through what is often a stressful process with calm and considered advice. She frequently negotiates favourable settlements and advises on contractual matters, including restrictive covenants.

Esmat also has considerable experience advising employers on both day-to-day HR matters and larger projects, such as TUPE, restructuring and group settlement negotiations. She delivers in-person and virtual training, with a particular focus on preventing discrimination and harassment in the workplace.

In litigation, Esmat has represented employers and employees in discrimination, harassment, whistleblowing (including interim relief applications), TUPE, unfair dismissal and unlawful deduction from wages claims.

Esmat studied Law and French at Leeds and worked at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg before qualifying as a solicitor.

In her spare time, Esmat enjoys cooking, sewing, tennis and yoga.

Esmat was admitted as a solicitor in September 2019.
